Nginx is the recommended reverse proxy for OpenCodeHub in production. This guide covers complete configuration including SSL, Git-specific optimizations, and performance tuning.

## Prerequisites

- Nginx 1.18+ installed
- Domain name with DNS configured
- OpenCodeHub running on `localhost:3000`

```bash
# Install Nginx (Ubuntu/Debian)
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y nginx

# Install Nginx (Fedora/RHEL)
sudo dnf install -y nginx

# Start and enable
sudo systemctl start nginx
sudo systemctl enable nginx

## Basic Configuration

### Minimal Reverse Proxy

```nginx
# /etc/nginx/sites-available/opencodehub

    listen 80;
    server_name git.yourcompany.com;

        proxy_pass http://localhost:3000;

        proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;

## SSL Setup with Let's Encrypt

### Install Certbot

```bash
# Ubuntu/Debian
sudo apt install -y certbot python3-certbot-nginx

# Fedora/RHEL
sudo dnf install -y certbot python3-certbot-nginx
```

### Obtain Certificate

```bash
sudo certbot --nginx -d git.yourcompany.com
```

Certbot will automatically configure SSL in your Nginx config.

### Manual SSL Configuration

If you prefer manual setup or have existing certificates:

## Common Issues

### 413 Request Entity Too Large

Increase `client_max_body_size`:

```nginx
location ~ ^/[^/]+/[^/]+\.git/ {
    client_max_body_size 500M;

```

### 504 Gateway Timeout

Increase proxy timeouts for large operations:

```nginx
proxy_read_timeout 600s;
proxy_send_timeout 600s;
```

### WebSocket Connection Drops

Ensure WebSocket headers are set:

```nginx
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
```

## Monitoring

### Enable Nginx Status
